Autumn at North House

After a busy summer, fall brings an invitation to slow down, gather, and revisit some forgotten craft projects. Read on to learn how you can connect with craft this fall at North House.

Autumn has arrived on the North Shore with its usual flair—the warm summer days have been whisked away by blustery breezes, golden leaves, and the sound of waves crashing over the breakwater.

As we settle into the chillier days, fall brings an invitation to slow down and return to craft projects after a busy summer. Throughout October and November, we'll host a variety of gatherings, courses, and events to celebrate the season:

Family Weekend

S’mores, apple pressing, a contra dance…Family Weekend brings classic fall fun for all ages. Bring the whole family to campus October 18-19, 2024. We'll have courses during the day (some just for kids, some for kids and their adults) as well as free evening activities for all. Find all Family Weekend details here

Community Craft Nights

Have a project that you’re itching to finish? Bring it to craft night! Join us on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 for Community Craft Nights. Some weeks have a theme based on an area of craft that the host is excited to share, but all crafts are welcome. If you aren’t working on anything, you’re welcome to come socialize and see others’ work.

Community Singing Circle

A weekly song circle for all voices! Come experience the joys of singing short, seasonal songs learned in the oral tradition on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00. No experience necessary!

Winterers' Gathering & Arctic Film Festival

The Winterers’ Gathering & Arctic Film Festival celebrates the crafts, customs, history, and stories that have been inspired by winter. Featuring winter-centric coursework, a winter tent camp, gear sale, film festival, speakers, and more, this is a classic event to welcome the start of the chilliest season. Pack your favorite hat and scarf and join us for this year's festival, November 22-24, 2024!
