Unplugged 2025
Overview
Under the Stars!
Unplugged returns this fall, September 19-20, 2025, with a fantastic harborside celebration of the mission of North House and with a wide range of opportunities to support the mission of the Folk School!
Join us the evening of Friday the 19th for a community-focused evening on the commons. We’ll have food trucks on campus and a range of beverages for purchase as well as opportunities to connect with craftspeople in the Folk Artisan Marketplace ahead of our free outdoor concert with the incredible Jeffrey Foucault! Bring your lawn chair (like we do for the Summer Solstice Pageant) and enjoy conversations with friends and neighbors as we relish the arrival of fall.
The morning of Saturday the 20th, we’ll kick things off with a free family concert in the morning, along with hands-on family craft opportunities. As has become tradition, we’ll also have early morning ice cream for sale from the wonderful folks at Superior Creamery!
In the evening we’re excited to be hosting a reimagined version of our iconic Birch Bark Bash. Your ticket for the evening includes food from regional food trucks, beverages from all of our friends, and unique opportunities to engage with craft including a unique opportunity with guest international instructors! The evening will culminate with a live auction and fund-a-need with the crowd favorite auctioneer Christian Kolberg followed by dessert and music into the evening. This will be an evening of celebration like no other - so look forward to tickets going on sale July 1st.
You might notice that the description of the event doesn’t include the mention of a “tent” this year. In an effort to keep the event fresh and exciting, as well as being good stewards of resources, we are trying something new - making use of our newly expanded campus to support this beloved event while connecting the Unplugged weekend more directly with the mission of the Folk School. Expect more opportunities to engage with your hands and to learn about the wide range of programs that your support makes possible at North House.
