Course Overview

As the days get shorter, make vessels for your own light with custom candelabras and candlestick holders! This introductory course will help you shed a little light on the woodshop and get comfy with power tools and hand tools while making the perfect centerpiece for any table. Learn how to chop with the miter saw, joint and plane a board, rip on the table saw, drill with the drill press, and cut curves on the bandsaw. Practice using hand tools, including planes, cabinet scrapers, and knives for finishing your work. In this two-day course, students will make one candlestick holder and one candelabra all the while learning how to navigate the woodshop with confidence.
