Course Overview
The French macaron: those beautiful, colorful sandwich cookies with the perfect chewy yet crisp texture. Think the only way to get them is from a fancy bakery for beaucoup bucks? Au contraire! These beauties can be pulled from your home oven with just a little practice and a bit of know-how. In this hands-on course, the instructor will walk through the process step by step, and then turn students loose to make multiple individual batches and experiment with fillings and cookie flavor combinations. A pastry bag and tip is included in the materials fee, so students will leave ready to continue baking. Note: a macaron is not a macaroon: no coconut here, n’est pas?
