Course Overview

Gain access to the North House blacksmith shop and spend 3 hours with instructor Elizabeth Belz covering the basics of Forging. Become familiar with the tools and steps required to make your own forged wall hook! Everyone will leave with at least one finished hook while we cover the basics of forging including tapering, twisting, cutting and finishing techniques. 

Students age 16 and up may register as an adult. Youth ages 10 and up may attend if accompanied by an adult. Adult/child pairs will complete two projects and pay two materials fees.  

Required Tools 

  • Cotton clothing 

Optional Tools 

  • Water bottle 
  • Notebook
