Leather Bag with Anishinaabe-Style Beadwork

Course Overview

Join Marcie McIntire for an exploration of Anishinaabe beadwork as you make a beautiful beaded leather bag. Using hand-sewing and beading techniques, students will construct and embellish a 9.5 x 5 inch bag. Your beaded bag with drawstring closure will be decorated with fringe and various sizes of colorful beads. The materials fee covers needles, leather, thread, and beads, as well as use of all tools needed to complete your bag.

Prior fiber arts experience is helpful (sewing, embroidery, quilting).

NOTE: Hand sewing leather requires some hand strength

Required Tools
