Back-to-Back Eclipses Across America: Webinar

Course Overview

Eclipses have stirred the minds and hearts of human beings since ancient times. These special alignments let us directly experience the grand movements of celestial bodies close to home. Remarkably, there will be two back-to-back solar eclipses visible in the United States in the next year — an annular or “ring of fire” event in October followed by a total solar eclipse in April 2024. Bob will describe how eclipses happen and methods to safely view and photograph them. He’ll also share travel tips on where to get the best views. After the 2024 eclipse we won’t experience another total solar eclipse in the contiguous U.S. until 2044.
