“Stained Glass” Nuno Felt Window Hanging

Course Overview

Design your own “stained glass” nuno felt window hanging to celebrate the sunshine all year round. First we'll draw our designs, then enlarge them up to 24”x36”. Using wet felting techniques with silk and merino wool, we'll create a fine, translucent nuno felt fabric which is the basis of our window hanging. We'll add color with acid dyes and end the class by adding supportive rods and hanging apparatus. This can be a stationary window hanging or, with just a bit more hardware, a Roman shade!

Students aged 16+ may register for this course independently. Students aged 14-15 may register with a full-paying adult. Adult/child pairs will complete two projects and pay two materials fees. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full paying adult; call to register.
