Wood-fired Brick Oven Core
Wood-fired ovens are a baker’s dream! Bring home an oven core built at North House Folk School and take your backyard cooking to the next level. Bake crusty hearth loaves, roast meats and veggies, host pizza parties—the possibilities abound.
This is a rectangular barrel-arch style brick wood-fired oven. Its interior dimensions are 27"x36". Only the oven core is completed, which includes a 4" reinforced concrete slab, under-hearth insulation, and the brick oven walls and arch. To be complete, this oven needs a weight-bearing base to bring it up to working height, insulation over the top and sides, a chimney or stovepipe, and a facade and roof to keep the elements off. The overall weight of the oven core is around 2 tons.
This purchase includes a one-hour phone consultation with Caleb Mattison, the instructor who taught the class that built the oven. Assistance in loading the oven is available by prior arrangement.
Must leave campus by August 6. $2800 minimum bid.
