Sharon fell in love with sprang in early 2020 when Carol James taught a sprang class at the Duluth Fiber Guild. She became Carol's apprentice and has since jumped at any opportunity to  demonstrate or teach this mostly forgotten craft. She has demonstrated sprang at the Minnesota State Fair and taught classes through the Duluth Fiber Guild and the Minnesota Weaver’s Guild. In 2025 she published the book Unexpected Twists: Exploring the Unique Textures of S & Z Sprang. Her website is SprangArt.com.
