Ryan is a professional nature photographer and naturalist living in northern Minnesota. He works as a forestry technician for the Carlton County Land Department and finds that his hobbies and career complement each other well. Photography has taught him to interact more intimately with the environment, focus on details, and to read the stories written in the earth. His work appears in some notable local publications including: Minnesota Conservation Volunteer Magazine, The Lake Superior Magazine, and Northern Wilds Magazine.
