Leslie is the founder of Midwest Linen Revival an organization dedicated to laying the groundwork for establishing flax for fiber as an agricultural crop in our region. Her background is a blend of practical skills, community engagement, and a deep connection to nature. Finding inspiration in the many aspects of flax potential from artisanal linen and fine textiles to field scale crop rotation value, pollinator friendly benefits, and flax in bioplastic composites. Leslie is committed to supporting, connecting and celebrating all that is flax and the developing flax-fiber supply chain across North America. She is co-curator of the Field to Frock festival, newly a co-owner of Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill, parent to two teenaged daughters, and sleeps outside whenever she can.
