Jan Shepherd
Zumbrota, MN
Jan is a very accomplished fly fisher who has spent many years exploring and fly fishing the stream trout lakes of Northern Minnesota as well as the streams and rivers of the Driftless Area. Her extensive fly fishing experience, coupled with her extensive teaching history, both as a public school teacher and as an instructor for many fly fishing courses here at North House, has enabled her to distill for her students what may, at times, seem like an overwhelmingly complex activity, into the key elements that help her students to become competent and effective fly fishers. Jan spends much of her outdoors time in the Driftless Area and exploring and fishing in Minnesota’s Arrowhead Country.
