North House Folk School

Jacob Lubke was born with a rod in his hand and raised in the Brainerd Lakes area in a small town called Jenkins. As soon as he was old enough he moved to the North Shore and discovered the amazing Lake Superior fishery and how many different species live in and around it. That’s when Jake realized he wanted to work with fish. He has worked in the commercial fishing industry in Alaska and Minnesota but has put down his fillet knife and picked up a fly rod. He currently lives in Grand Marais where he guides and teaches people about the joys of fly fishing.
