Course Overview

In this multifaceted 3-day class, students will make their own adjustable stand-up twining frame, then use their newly-constructed frame to learn how to twine. Class will explore the creative possibilities of twining as they create a sampler with different designs. Next, with support, students will create a design for the rug they will twine.

Class will spend just half a day with Marybeth Garmoe learning how to put together the twining frame, then the rest of class will be spent with Julie Arthur learning the ins and outs of twining. Students will go home with the frame, a sampler, and a rug.

Students 16 + may register for this course.
