Course Overview

With a few simple tools, it’s possible to add tasteful details to a project of any size, such as a date, plant leaf or flower, a name, or logo. This class will be especially geared towards timber framers who would like to add a few basic carving techniques to their quiver. In this two-day course, students will create a sampler piece by learning to carve basic inset letters and numbers, and adding small embellishments. Carving tools will be available for use; students are encouraged to bring their own tools. Some tools will also be available for purchase.
