The Magic and Mechanics of Circular Sock Knitting Machines

Course Overview

Discover the rich history of the Circular Sock Machine (CSM) and the role it continues to play at the intersection of engineering and craft. Master the elegant and efficient CSM and create a custom pair of beautiful wool socks. IN addition to learning through CSM gauge and tension,  you will learn how to select the yarn, measure for the perfect fit, and construct and finish a hem-top sock. We will explore variations in CSMs, as well as how to purchase, maintain, and troubleshoot a CSM. Hand knitting experience helpful but not necessary. Let’s get cranking!
