Doesn’t everyone have a favorite stuffed animal they sleep with?! In this class you will design your own stuffy, whether it is an alien, a cat, a monster, or a cupcake! This will be a special stuffy that is completely made of soft, cushy wool that will be durable enough to play with and have for the rest of your life. No felting experience is needed, but those who have experience will be able to make a more complicated item. Everyone will learn about wet felting wool into a 3D item, adding faces, arms, tails, and more before stuffing and sewing them closed. Students are encouraged to bring ideas, sketches, or photos of what they would like to make. You may also bring your current favorite stuffy to share or as inspiration.

One registration fee includes one of the following:

• One child age 7-12 and one adult, working together to make one stuffy, or
• One child age 12+, working independently

If an adult/child pair wants to make a second stuffy, an additional materials payment of $28 may be made to the instructor in class.

Required Tools

• A variety of towels; hand towels and a couple large towels

Optional Tools

• Sketches, or photos of what they would like to make.
• Your current favorite stuffy to share or as inspiration.
