Snack Dispenser: Build Your Own on Spring Break

Course Overview

Spring break, snack break! The snack dispenser is a beloved woodworking project around North House. Join Susan Ferguson for three half day sessions to build a snack dispenser of your own. Under supervision, students will use a variety of hand and power tools to make a wood and glass dispenser that can be filled with small treats such as jelly beans or peanuts or other small munchies.

Open to students in 1st through 5th grades, will require some focus and ability to follow directions and use tools safely. No experience required. Bring a snack and water bottle each day. Half and full scholarships available to Cook County families by request; call to register if a scholarship is needed.
