Simplifying Sourdough: Online Webinar

Course Overview

Despite the fact that a sourdough starter is a living organism, it really is not difficult to keep and use one. Promise! This short webinar will provide some insight into this ancient leavener and give an overview of the basic elements to keeping and using your culture, including how to start one if you don’t have a friend who already has one. Depending on the interest of the participants, we may also discuss different types of starters, how to convert commercially yeasted recipes to sourdough, or how to use up extra starter without wasting it. There will be ample time allowed for questions to be answered, so please come with a curious and open mind and help direct the conversation! Several sourdough recipes will also be included.
