Seasonal Pies: Baking for the Colder Months
Course Overview
Whether for holiday celebrations or simply for everyday indulgence, the colder months mean making time for baking. In this class, we will celebrate pies for fall and winter. While there is certainly nothing wrong with a traditional pumpkin pie, this class is an opportunity to branch out from the usual seasonal pie menu. We will also work on finishing techniques to make our pies a true centerpiece!
Physical ability note: This class will include standing at a work bench and using kitchen hand tools. Students who are unable to stand at a work bench should notify North House so that the instructor can set up a lower accessible work area.
This course is open to students ages 16+. Youth ages 12-15 are welcome to register with an adult. Adult/child pairs will complete two projects and pay two materials fees. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult; call to register.
