Leatherwork

Round Braid Edge Lacing Leather Shoulder Bag and Wallet

Course Overview

Learn the traditional craft of leather round braid edge lacing in this class for all skill levels. We will begin with discussing the basics of hide selection, traditional leatherwork, hardware application, patterning, and accessory construction. Then we will move on to constructing a wallet and learning the technique of joining leather using round braid edge lacing. Once we’re comfortable with the braiding technique, we’ll move on to constructing our leather crossbody bag. Leave with a gorgeous bag, wallet, and skills for a lifetime of leatherworking with minimal tools. If time permits, additional small projects can be discussed and completed. Leather will be available for purchase if you wish to continue to practice your new skills at home!
