Optional Day Fall Fly Fishing Tactics for Brook Trout and Splake

Course Overview

This is an optional day of intensive fly tying and material dyeing instruction open only to students who are enrolled in the Fall Fly Fishing Tactics course in 2026, or who have taken this course in the past. The course is offered to students who wish to tie the special flies that will be used in the Fall Fly Fishing Tactics course so that students have the opportunity to catch brook trout on flies that they have personally tied. Adult/youth pairs will pay two materials fees. A 25% tuition discount applies to the qualified youth registrant when registering with a full paying adult.

NOTE: Online registration is not available for this course. Call to register.

Required Tools

  • Required Tools Students are encouraged to bring their personal fly tying equipment. If you do not have fly tying equipment or do not wish to bring it then tying equipment will be provided.
