Narrative Storytelling with Pebble Jewelry

Course Overview

Jewelry has a wonderful way of holding stories, memories, and meaning. In this welcoming workshop, students will begin with North Shore pebbles and other small treasures as inspiration for creating personal, wearable pieces. Together, we will explore basic jewelry fabrication techniques for transforming copper, brass, sterling silver, and found stones into jewelry that feels meaningful and uniquely your own.

The class will introduce foundational metalsmithing skills, including sawing, drilling, filing, sanding, texturing, acetylene soldering, and stone setting. Students will be encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and follow their own creative direction, whether they are brand new to jewelry making or ready to build on existing skills.

Please bring any cabochons, pebbles, crystals, or small found elements you may want to incorporate into your designs. This beginner-friendly workshop is open to all skill levels. All tools are provided. Sterling silver, copper, and brass metals will be available for purchase during class.

A materials fee of $65-$75 will be due to the instructor at the time of class.
