Kids’ Courses

Let's Create: Beginning Woodworking on Tuesdays

Course Overview

If hammers, nails, screwdrivers, and saws are your jam, you’ve found the right place. Come down to the folk school for an after school club that teaches skills and makes space for creative thinking and problem solving. This program balances both directed skill building activities and student-led play through tinkering and creating using real tools, wood, and an assortment of other materials. The emphasis is on process, not products. Open to students in grades 1-4; half and full scholarships available.

Scholarships are available.

Transportation: Students can walk, bike, or be dropped off on campus by parents/caregivers at 3:30 for the club. If getting picked up after class, parents/caregivers should arrive at North House each week by 5:30.
