Leatherwork

Leather Firewood Carrier

Course Overview

Make North Shore memories as you make a beautiful and sturdy leatherwood firewood carrier. This carrier will become a family heirloom, growing more unique and beautiful through many years of hard-wearing use. You will learn how to sew with a traditional 2-needle saddle stitch, apply basic hardware, and how to select and care for leather.

No experience is necessary, but you will need steady hands for sewing, enough arm/shoulder strength to hit tools hard with a mallet (like you mean it), and reading glasses if you typically require them. This course is open to age 16+.
