Fiber Art
Knit an Arne & Carlos Inspired Bird
Course Overview
In spring of 2017, a new book by the well-known Norwegian knitting designers, Arne and Carlos, was published in English with the title, "Arne and Carlos' Field Guide to Knitted Birds.” Inspired by antique Christmas bird ornaments, they created over forty new varieties of knitted birds. Some are patterned on native birds, some on traditional knitting patterns, and others are flights of fantasy. In this half-day class designed to hatch a new interest, knitters may choose one of their bird patterns or create a personal bird of her/his own, with the capable assistance of prolific knitter Allen Holzhueter. Enjoy the company of fellow knitters as you gain experience with these fun small projects. After all, birds of a feather flock together, right?
