Course Overview

This class is an enjoyable, two-day beginning knitting class that focuses both on basic stitches and skills, and on recognizing and correcting common mistakes that often frustrate the beginner. Topics include essential knitting skills, yarn basics, and pattern reading. You will be provided with an introductory book, one pair of size 8 knitting needles, practice yarn, and several easy project patterns to help you get started in this enjoyable craft and pastime. Children and adults may choose to participate together in this learning experience.

You will need the following tools for this class:

Instructor will provide yarn, needles and introductory book.

Optional Tools

  • knitting needles - 1 pr of Size 8 (prefer wood or bamboo)
  • 8 oz skein of yarn (worsted weight) natural or light color
