                Course Overview
Explore blacksmithing or develop your skills at the forge to create your own cooking utensils. In this three-day course we will cover everything from the basic mechanics of swinging a hammer to working with stainless steel and copper while completing a set of tools you can cook with. We will start out with making a set of grill skewers and progress into making a set of different utensils including a steak flipper, grill fork, spatula, large spoon, and a large copper ladle. This course is open to students ages 16+.
Required Tools
- Close toed shoes
- Hair tie for long hair
- All cotton clothing
Optional Tools
- Any personal hand tools
- PPE (gloves, eye/ear protection)
