Fiber Art
Fiber Week DK Sock
Course Overview
Knitting a sock might seem like a leap, but this class is designed to break it down one loop at a time. We’ll begin with a tiny sock keychain: a fun, approachable way to learn the foundations of sock construction, including working in the round with Magic Loop, shaping the heel, and finishing the toe.
Once the mini sock is complete, you’ll cast on a full-size version and continue building your skills. The pattern includes a decorative rib detail and an option to play with color. Along the way, we’ll cover customizing fit, choosing yarns, and setting yourself up to finish your second sock at home.
If you’re comfortable with knitting and purling in the round and ready to try shaping, you’ll walk away with confidence—and a great pair of socks in progress.
Materials fee: $45–$55 (final cost depends on supplier pricing) due to instructor in class.
