Basketry

Daffodils, Sweet Grass, and Iris: Baskets from the Garden

Course Overview

Step into the exciting world of patterns and textures in coiled baskets. Using a variety of grasses including sweet grass, daffodils, irises, and sedges we will explore combining a variety of coiled basket stitches and thread colors to create stunning designs. This class will be a fun way to explore some amazing design possibilities by adding new stitches to your creative scope! Note, these projects will require some hand muscle endurance. Arthritis in your hands can make this a challenge, but it can work.

Be ready to rest your hands occasionally. Students ages 14+ are welcome to register independently.
