Kids’ Courses

Celebrate Solstice with Nature Crafts Family Workshop

Course Overview

Grab a kid you love and come celebrate the summer solstice with a day of nature-based crafting! In this intergenerational class, child-adult pairs will experiment with wool and wire crafts to create beautiful projects that celebrate the vibrancy of the season. In the morning, we’ll create needle-felted mandalas inspired by natural items like rocks, flowers, pine cones and leaves. After a lunch break, we’ll take a short hike in nature to forage for inspiration and materials, and then return to campus to create wearable midsummer crowns out of wire, wool, ribbon, flowers and greenery. This class will take a gentle approach that values creativity and self expression over the end result.

This class is for youth ages 8 and up, each child accompanied by an adult. Please sign up separately. The youth student will receive a 25% discount. Each will create their own projects.
