Bean Cuisines from Around the World

Course Overview

Beans are far from boring. When you think beyond the basic black bean (though there's nothing wrong with that), the possibilities are endless.

We'll start with bean basics (soaking, cooking, etc.), explore varieties you probably haven't heard of, and cook delicious bean dishes from around the world, including dal, pasta fagioli, bean salad, and even an elegant, easy pickled appetizer.

There are lots of reasons to eat more beans. They're full of protein and fiber. They're inexpensive and keep for years. But, most importantly, they're delicious, versatile, and fun to cook with.

Students ages 12+ may register for this course independently. Youth ages 8+ may register if accompanied by an adult. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full paying adult; call to register.
