Course Overview

Try your hand at a simple bead weaving project in this introductory course. This project is based on a traditional amulet-style bag design Marcie learned from her grandmother, intended to be worn as a necklace. Students will complete and embellish a two-inch x two-inch lined deerskin bag in a lacy-netted bead design and begin additional projects  The emphasis of these projects will be the bead weaving technique; the leather sewing will be completed ahead of time.
