Sewing: Next Steps

Course Overview

Want to level up your sewing skills? This is a class for those that have some introductory (or years-ago) sewing experience and want to move beyond pattern layout and sewing simple seams. In this workshop-style class, students will learn skills like setting in sleeves, sewing facings, adding pockets, and closing garments with buttonholes or zippers! Simple alterations for sizing will also be discussed.

Before the class starts, the instructor will offer guidance so that students can choose an appropriate project and purchase fabric. Students should expect to pay $40-$50 on these materials. With an infinite number of projects to choose from, this course can be taken multiple times!

This course is open to students ages 10+. Youth ages 8-19 are welcome to register with an adult. A 25% tuition discount applies to the youth registrant when registering with a full-paying adult; call to register.
