Spend a day in the workshop exploring the possibilities of a new material: the black ash tree. Working with North House staff, you'll start with a locally-harvested black ash log, and use wooden mallets to prepare the wood needed to make lightweight, durable baskets. Basic basketry techniques and the history and use of black ash will be covered in this hands-on, introductory experience.
