Course Overview

On your next Arctic (or canoe trip) expedition, avoid the embarrasment of drawing lots to see which one of your expedition members becomes the main entreé when your food runs out due to poor planning. Through thousands of miles of arctic travel, Lonnie has refined food planning, preparation and packing to a near art form. In addition to obtaining a wealth of information and practical advice, the class will prepare a batch of modern-day pemmican, a traditional pack food that's hard to beat for nutritional value and utility.
