Artisan Breads Sampler Weekend
Course Overview
Fully engage the art of hand-crafted traditional artisan breads using North House's fabulous bread baking resources. From the instructor's experience as an award-winning chef to the harborside wood-fired masonry oven to diverse styles of breads you'll learn about, the Artisan Breads Sampler Weekend 'kneads' all the best of bread baking into one complete package. Learn the techniques of shaping boules and batards, and the techniques of scoring your loaves of rustic French bread and rustic seven-grain bread. Learn the art of creating delicious artisan Italian flatbreads, focaccia, and pizza. Experiment with the creation of crusty, artisan sourdough breads utilizing classic French levain and techniques. Each student will take home their own levain sourdough starter, creative artisan bread recipes, and at least a loaf to split with friends and family.
