Make this year's North Shore vacation unforgettable: join us for family craft camp! Curious kids ages 8 and up and their grown-ups are invited to join us for a five-day summer camp sampler program where they can do it all. Make a basket, spin wool, learn to use woodworking tools, explore the woods and waters of the North Shore, try your hand at blacksmithing: this camp will be a week full of learning and discovery for everyone, offering an opportunity to taste a bit of these core crafts, all rooted in our relationship with the natural world. We’ll host evening campfires and a wood-fired pizza bake. Expect to meet other curious learners who love craft and summertime on the North Shore. Days will end early (3pm) to allow folks free time to jump in the lake, visit favorite spots in Grand Marais, go for a hike, and stay up late for stargazing. Note that the tuition rate is for one adult and one child at least eight years of age. Sorry, no exceptions due to equipment limitations and safety concerns.
