Pebble Jewelry Fabrication from Soup to Nuts
Course Overview
Welcome to the jewelry fabrication workshop where students will make everything from soup to nuts! This includes stone setting as well as making your own chain, earring wires, clasps or closures. There will be options to create traditional and non-traditional bezels or bezel caps for longer stones like a crystal. Students interested in flexing their creative muscle will have the opportunity to create a stone-on-stone setting. This workshop will cover the basics of fabrication that includes sawing, filing and sanding, adding texture, soldering, sweat soldering, riveting, and stone setting. Please bring any cabochons, pebbles or crystals you have for design consideration. All tools are provided. Sterling silver and copper sheet, not including larger pieces of sterling silver sheet, will be available for purchase at the time of the class. A materials fee of $55-$75 will be due to the instructor at the time of class.
