Program Overview

Follow along with mushers Erin Altemus and Anna Hennessy as they recount their rookie runs on the 1,000-mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska. Erin and her husband, Matt, own and operate Sawtooth Racing near Grand Marais. Anna trained and raced with a kennel called Shameless Huskies near Willow Alaska for two winters. Previously, Anna ran dogs with Erin and Matt, YMCA Camp Menogyn, and other kennels in Alaska. Both Erin and Anna have worked as nurses at North Shore Health in Grand Marais and have received wide community support for their racing endeavors. Come hear about their journey and adventures!
