Sam Cook joined the Duluth News Tribune in 1980 and retired in April 2018. He served as outdoors writer and also wrote a weekly column of general interest. He is now a freelance writer and continues to write a weekly column that appears Fridays in the News Tribune. His outdoors stories and columns covered a wide range of topics.
