Mary Lauren studied traditional willow basketry in northern Scotland in 2014, came back to the states, and has been affecting and inspiring the green burial movement with her willow coffins since. She loves teaching and has taught several workshops a season throughout New England for four years. You can find her out along the rivers in Vermont, weaving baskets of all shapes and sizes, and playing her fiddle when the baskets are done.
