Darla Campbell is nikâwiy to 3 boys, a licensed practical nurse for over 12 years, and has developed her love of hide tanning throughout the years. She facilitates with kâniyâsik Culture Camps, which is a family run land-based camp that strives to revitalize Indigenous language, traditions and culture.

Darla’s practice is rooted in family, community, and sharing. Her family, daily activity, her means of teaching others and revitalizing indigenous culture are all connected to traditional hide tanning. The joy and laughter of this labour and the ways that this work brings community together.
