A hanging basket is an attractive way to create more space in the home by storing things up off of table tops and shelves. In this class we will use colorful twig stems from easy to harvest brush to make a hoop for the basket, braid a decorative hanging handle, and tie in a netted bottom. Students will learn the basic net making knot to make a small net about 12”x12” to suspend from your basket hoop. This is a fun way to blend fiber and basketry skills to create a useful and charming finished piece.
