Explore how humans have used one of our oldest tools - fire. From the backyard bonfire to a wilderness survival blaze, there are many details to starting and maintaining a successful, and safe, fire. We will discuss uses of fire and ideal materials, and participants will have the opportunity to try starting friction fires using the bow-drill and flint-and-steel techniques. Children are required to have an adult accompany them to this course. Adult-child pairs pay a single tuition and materials fee.
