Nutshell Pram: Build Your Own Sail Craft or Row Boat

Course Overview

The Nutshell Pram was designed by legendary boat designer Joel White 35 years ago with the goal of creating a good-looking, small pram that could be easily built of plywood. It rows and tows easily, can carry a big load and is fun for both adults and children to sail. The continued popularity of this boat is a testimony to White's success. In this course, students will build a nutshell pram to take home. All materials, with the exception of oars, paint and sail are provided, including high quality marine grade plywood, silicone bronze fasteners, bronze hardware and spruce spars. A sail is readily available in kit form from Sailrite or ready to use from the Woodenboat store.
