Students will learn to identify willow in the wild and how to prepare dried willow to make a walking stick. This process begins by peeling the bark, practicing the process of preparing the diamonds, sanding to finish, and attaching a plastic protector on the bottom of the stick and a handle. Ideas and techniques for further diamond willow projects will also be shared.
