Leather Card Holder: Sew Your Own (Online Course)

Course Overview

Learn the magic of sewing leather with a traditional two-needle saddles stitch. We will make card cases out of natural vegetable tanned cowhide and talk about all of the little design considerations that go into making a useful object that can last decades. From card holders to shoulder bags to tool totes, the world of hand-stitched leather goods you could make at home is vast, and gets expensive quickly. This is a great introductory project requiring no tooling that can help students decide about making a further investment in this craft. Plus, they are handy little pouches too!

Please specify thread color choice at registration: dark red, navy, dark brown, olive green, dark green, bright blue, topaz
