Fly Fishing the North Shore II

Course Overview

Hungry for more? This course is designed for those who have either completed the Fly Fishing I class or who have prior experience in still water fly fishing and a desire to build on their prior experience. The class will mirror a typical fly fishing camp: tying by day and fishing by night. Each day, students will learn to tie their own flies and come up with new "killer patterns," based on their observations from the night before. Instructors will provide suggested patterns and materials, as well as ideas from their vast log of fishing experience. Each evening, the class will hike into some of the more remote trout lakes of Cook County, where the trophy fish lurk in the quiet northern waters. While no fly tying experience is necessary, students need to have completed Fly Fishing I or be pre-approved by an instructor. Students must also be good physical condition.
